Drawing on our unique expertise as impact investors and our long standing relationships with grassroots activists, in 2018, Real Money Moves launched to help move financing out of the private prison industry, by organizing professional athletes, actors, and other cultural influencers to take a stand against for-profit prisons and immigrant detention. We strategized with over 30 influencers who wanted to use their platforms to highlight the issue of private prison financing, ensure their investments were not tied up in prisons, and collectively commit over $10m to investing in communities instead.

Today, our trusted, creative contribution to changing the culture of money is bridging insights on financial activist strategies across social movements, including through consulting, content creation, and speaking engagements with organizations who are interested in learning how to align their capital with their values. We serve as a translator — with a deep commitment to making financial strategies accessible to everyone in service of the movement.

Our partners lend their platforms to support campaigns at the intersection of money and justice, and explore investment opportunities to align their money with their values.
